摘要:
20世纪中后期美国新闻史研究的整体学术语境发生变动,在多重因素作用下,新闻史研究的文化史观登上学术史舞台。詹姆斯·凯瑞率先提出新闻史不应只是对历史事件的简单描述,而应研究特定历史语境下特定社群的“感知结构”。新闻文化史观经过两代学者的努力,已成为国际新闻史学界的主导学术思潮,其最新的研究取向是新闻劳工史和阅读史。把新闻史研究的眼界从新闻传播学科移向其他人文社会学科,这是文化史观为新闻史理论建设提供的最宝贵的西方经验。
